Portfolio-level project governance in one Excel workbook.
Running more than one project usually means juggling scattered spreadsheets, a separate risk log, and a status deck you rebuild by hand every week. There's no single place where tasks, budget, resources and risk roll up into a view you can show an executive.
This is one Microsoft 365 Excel workbook that runs a whole portfolio. Add projects to the register, log tasks, budget, milestones and RAID items against each Project ID, and the Executive Dashboard and Status Report update themselves — no macros, no add-ins, no external connections. Progress is hours-weighted so a handful of small tasks can't distort a project's completion.
No. It's native Excel formulas only — no VBA, macros, Power Query, or external data connections. It works offline.
It's built and tested for Microsoft 365 Excel on Windows and macOS, and relies on Excel behaviour that doesn't all translate to Sheets, so Excel is recommended.
By estimated hours. Task progress is hours-weighted so a handful of small tasks can't distort a project's overall completion — populate Estimated Hours for every task.
No — it's a workload warning. It compares outstanding assigned hours against each person's weekly capacity so you can spot over-allocation, not auto-level.
Yes — that's the point. Add as many projects as you like to the Project Register and the Executive Dashboard rolls them up into a portfolio view.
